Funding for Engagement
Engagement Impact Grants
The Carnegie Foundation describes community engagement as the collaboration between institutions of higher education and their larger communities for the mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and resources in a context of partnership and reciprocity.
As one of the university’s four core goals, integral to our mission as a land-grant institution, outreach and engagement establishes partnerships with the citizens of Ohio, the nation, and the world so that our communities are actively engaged in the exciting work of The Ohio State University.
This year, Engagement Impact Grants will support university-community teams that apply engagement scholarship and resources to address a compelling challenge and create transformational change through:
- That aspect of Teaching that enables learning beyond the campus walls
- That aspect of Research that makes what we discover useful beyond the academic community
- That aspect of Service that directly benefits the public
