Grants Program

The Office of University Outreach & Engagement’s grant program supports innovative and creative outreach and engagement initiatives that connect academic excellence with societal needs; it enhances and/or creates partnerships between members of the university community and community partners; and enhances development of a unit’s outreach and engagement mission.

Excellence in Engagement Grants

Excellence in Engagement Grants (up to $100,000 each) support an interdisciplinary team to build upon their academic/research excellence and to establish an innovative, creative, scholarly outreach and engagement initiative that will give the team, college/regional campus, and university recognition both regionally and nationally for its partnership with the community.

Request for Proposals for Excellence in Engagement Grants

The RFP for 2009 is now closed. A reference copy of the RFP is posted online for potential applicants to review: link to 2009 RFP. The 2010 RFP is expected to be issued in Fall 2009.
